Fascinated by old photos

I'm so grateful for my Uncle Dan who recently scanned a large number of old photographs from the Freke family past. We got the full slide show this weekend. About 700! Wow. I choose I few of my favorites to share. I love, love, love black and white photography and always fascinated to see a piece of the past especially of my ancestors. Here are my grandparents captured in their youth.

I should be taking pictures of blooming flowers and robins with worms but good old Maine! Is this some sort of joke. Snow on April Fools. I've had enough. Bring on 80 degree weather like they said the high was  in L.A. yesterday.
